Yogahour® is an accessible, affordable, expertly-taught flow/form class that offers clear and specific alignment instructions. It is both a teaching technology and a style that is the perfect blend of form (alignment) and flow (movement with the breath). This method maximizes safety and promotes longevity of practice.
Yogahour aims to be the most doable yet difficult one-hour flow/form class offered anywhere. It's for all levels of practitioners, from beginners to experienced students without major injuries.

This workshop is designed to introduce the practice of yogahour and to offer insight into how yogahour teaching technology can equip instructors and practitioners with the tools to add clarity, precision, and depth to their teaching and practice. In sessions 1 and 2, we’ll practice two different yogahour sequences and explore yogahour teaching technology and sequencing strategies. In sessions 3 and 4, we’ll dive deep into an exploration of some of the arm balances and backbends on the yogahour syllabus. In Session 5, we’ll experience and then discuss how yogahour sequences and teaching technology can be adapted and leveraged for vinyasa flow classes.

This session includes a 1 hour, classic yogahour practice and a 1.5 hour exploration of yogahour sequencing strategies.

Session 3

Hip Openers & Arm Balances: More Badass Than Bendy (All Levels)
In this session, we'll cultivate strength, discipline, and tenacity to gain access to and depth in hip openers, arm balances, and the transitions between them. This session is designed for both beginners looking for tools to support them on the path to flight and for more experienced practitioners seeking depth and refinement in their arm balance practice.

Session 4
Sunday, March 25th, 2018 | 9-11:30am

Backbends: Strength & Surrender (All Levels)
In this session, we’ll use strength and effort to create and hold strong boundaries so that we have the safety and support to surrender into the depth of our backbends. This session starts with exercises to promote mobility in the upper back and shoulders and works steadily into a deeper exploration of alignment principles, actions, and tricks for gaining access to, deepening, and refining backbends.

Session 5
Sunday, March 25th, 2018 | 1-3:30pm

Fire Flow (Intermediate)
This session includes an intermediate, full spectrum, and fiery group practice designed for yogis looking to explore asana, alignment, and creative transitions in a playful, challenging flow-based experience. After practice, we’ll explore strategies for adapting yogahour sequences for a vinyasa setting. Please note, this practice is not appropriate for beginners.
