John was never much of an athlete, eschewing sports for punk rock shows at a young age, and rarely raised his heart rate outside of a mosh pit. He discovered yoga in college, incorrectly believing it would be the easiest option for the PE credit he needed to graduate. He was hooked after his first savasana, craving the centering and stillness that practice brought him.
John found Tough Love Yoga in 2015 and fell in love. He completed his 200 hour teacher training and yogahour certification at Tough Love Yoga in March of 2017 with Neda Honarvar and Rachelle Knowles.
Firmly rooted in the belief that yoga is for EVERYONE, John is especially passionate about sharing practice with beginners. His classes aim to be both approachable and challenging; both grounding and spacious.
